Acton-Boxborough Youth Lacrosse (ABYL) is a town recreational league for players in grades K-8.

ABYL has been developing local boys into competitive lacrosse players for more than three decades. Our program focuses on teaching the game, developing skills, encouraging team play, sportsmanship and most importantly having fun!

Our main season is Spring and begins with Preseason in February with four or five sessions of indoor lacrosse. In Late March or Early April, teams move outside to begin the regular season. Teams practice twice weekly with one league game on Sundays.

ABYL is a member of the Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse League and competes in their Classic town program as well as Select at the higher grade levels. Classic town teams are divided by level to create two or more evenly balanced teams. There are no "A" and "B" style teams and playing time is intended to be equal. 

ABYL also competes in the MYL Select program. Players are chosen and invited to participate through a series of tryouts. Select Teams are comprised of the top town team players. Members of the Select team have an extra game vs. other town's top players on Friday nights.
